Why do you need an HVAC system?

HVAC systems play an important role in creating comfortable living conditions in your home. Typically, some of the best HVAC systems have a lifespan of 15 to 25 years. HVAC systems are designed to move air, heating or cooling a space in a process. The popularity of these systems is growing by the day. The HVAC system allows you to control the heating and cooling of your home, while maintaining indoor air quality and ventilation. HVAC systems works based on the basic principles of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.

When outdoor air enters the HVAC system, it is sucked into the ventilation unit where work begins. When air enters the air filters, they remove dust, dirt and other contaminants, rendering it the cleanest air possible. The air is cooled or heated to remove additional moisture. When the air is purified, fresh air is supplied to the building at the temperature you need.

What does an air conditioning system consist of?

A basic HVAC system consists of a heating unit, a cooling unit, and a duct to move cooled or heated air. But let’s learn a little more about each of the components of the air conditioning (AC) system, which has the following main parts and design:

1. Thermostat. The thermostat’s temperature sensors indicate when the heating or air conditioning needs to be turned on or off.

2. Heat generator. The most important task of a heat generator is to generate heat by extracting the energy from the fuel in the combustion chamber.

3. Heat Exchanger. The heat exchanger allows for the transfer of heat from one source to a working liquid, for purposes of cooling or heating.

4. Blower. A blower or fan is used to force air from the heat exchanger into the duct. Also, this unit serves to supply air to the desired area.

5. Condenser coil and compressor. These HVAC system components are key to the entire system. The condenser is the outdoor portion of the system that releases or collects heat depending on the time of year. The compressor moves refrigerant through the system to cool outdoor air as it moves to the interior.

6. Evaporator coil. The evaporator coil lowers the temperature of the compressed liquid refrigerant and converting it into vapor. It is used to collect liquid refrigerant from the compressor.

7. Air ducts and vents. Air ducts are used to convey or direct air to various parts of the HVAC system. In turn, the vents serve to supply air to the desired rooms or areas.

8. Ductless Mini Split. As a rule, split-blocks are installed outside the premises. These components are the most commonly used components in a heat pump or air conditioning system.
